I got recommended by my career advisor to work somewhere in a theatre for work experience. So, she looked around and found somewhere which had been previously visited by someone from my school, also for work experience.
I didn't really know what it was going to be like, and today (my first day at Lung Ha) I got off about 5 bustops too early, and I thought...fantastic, I'm going to be late. But, I got in on time and went up to the office and got told a bit about Lung Ha and what kind of productions are put on etc.
Then, I was taken down to meet some of the cast, and they were just about to begin a rehearsal for a play they were going to perform for people from Skill Scotland.
It's a short piece on people with various disabilities trying to get work in different places, and how difficult it is for them.
I got on really well with all of the people in the cast, there were 4 people there (John, Peter, Kay Ann and Sheila), and they managed to form this piece in a day, and it came on really well throughout the day.
The people here are really nice, and easy to get along with, and the cast is too.
It was a good day and I hope it's like this again on Tuesday and Wednesday.
